Please note a change to the calibration process for Trackman V3 stadium systems for 2025. Appointments should be booked no earlier than one month before the first use of the system in 2025. These appointments do not apply to the Trackman B1 portable system.
To ensure greater accuracy during calibrations, the new preferred pitch bounce calibration method involves hitting home plate with a pitch 10 times. A pitching machine should be used for this task. Moving the machine a few feet in front of the pitching rubber and setting it to breaking balls (preferably “12-6” shaped curveballs) will make it easier to hit the plate consistently. We recommend setting up the pitching machine and practicing hitting home plate beforehand to ensure the calibration session runs smoothly.
Please note: If you do not have a pitching machine or are unable to hit home plate with it, we can capture calibration data with pitches landing within 5 feet of home plate, whether thrown by hand or machine.
Before your appointment, please ensure:
- Bases are in place.
- Home plate and the pitching rubber are clean and uncovered. Clear home plate and pitching rubber areas of all hitting mats, tarps, screens, batting cage turtle, etc.
- The radar has power (check for lights on the bottom of the radar panel).
- For stadium/server systems: The Trackman server is powered on and connected to the internet.
- For laptop systems: The laptop is connected to the Trackman radar and online at the start of your appointment.
During the calibration appointment, please ensure all baseball activity and field maintenance are paused during the duration of the appointment.
If your organization has multiple fields requiring calibration, please book one appointment slot per field.
Appointments are subject to reschedule if you or the field are not adequately prepared at the scheduled time.
